I know it's not the best time for new suggestions, however I think it would be great to have an ore cart usable (make it an active item, not static). So that miners could use it (as well as packhorses...perhaps even together like a pack horse carries it) to put ore and/or logs in while harvesting resources.

I love this idea.
Same base as a pack horse but obviously wouldn't be a creature.
Carts could restrict the user to walking. They can also be crafted.
"Bulletin! The miners guild caravan was raided by a pack of outlaws and the carts were looted and left burning!"
Also while its brought up. I had a player mention that there was no running in the pre-alpha. This isn't entirely true. You did run, and at all times. You couldn't adjust your speed by how far away you trailed your cursor or by speed filters. The pre-alpha animation appears to be walking, however the speed is the same of the modern clients run.
