If you MUST add durability to all armor pieces(Was it even in Pre-alpha?)
Can you please not have it use the same system you use for shields?

You have no idea how annoying it is to have to keep repairing your shield after every encounter because your shield is easily damaged, thus bringing your armor rating down. If I have to repair every piece of armor just as often, I will become a pacifist.

Please don't make the game more annoying then it is fun.

I agree and in my bug list I stated that the rate a shield would get damaged was insanely fast and it all if armor is going to take damage, the scale needs to be reduced significantly so as we are not having to repair after every encounter.

Before tonight's patch, only shields would take damage. Even without one equipped your armor would not take damage. It would instead distribute all durability loss to the shield without even a non-durability loss hit. That will be all changed.

When the patch is live it will work like so:

Each armor part has a chance to take damage upon being struck. Parts such as the tunic or arms will have a higher rate of taking durability loss. Not every hit will result in durability loss. If you block and attack with your shield, only it will take durability loss. When the attack goes to your armor, only one piece will get the hit.

An example of a fight might look like this:

You get hit, nothing takes durability loss.
You get hit again, your tunic loses some durability.
You get hit again, you parry and your shield takes loss.
You get hit again, nothing takes durability loss.

If you have on a full set of armor and you do take durability loss you'll have 5 parts that can take it. Much easier to prolong without repairing if not only one item is taking it every hit. Also, your chance to even take durability loss is not 100%.

I can assure this update will be a very transparent change, and not produce any big annoyances.

Was it in the pre-alpha? I cant find any proof of it. But before we pull that card, lets ask the same question to the many other things here too. Come on.

Perhaps you missed the humor I tried to use in my post.

I might even put the changes live sooner.

After they are in we'll get down to it and see what everyone thinks and get it working in the most enjoyable way for everyone.
